Long level pull thru sites next to the fairgrounds and river. Excellent stop over while traveling this remote section of the state. There are deer walking right through the park; very cool! Rate of $20 per night can not be beat.

What campers say
Grant County RV Park at the fairgrounds is a small, mostly quiet, well‑shaded RV spot with level pull‑through and back‑in sites, grassy areas, and a pleasant riverwalk just steps from town. Guests frequently praise the peaceful setting, shady trees, and easy walking access to John Day. Tradeoffs include variable bathroom/shower cleanliness and a small additional shower fee; Wi‑Fi can be intermittent and management/site assignment communication has occasional hiccups. Best for overnight or short stays when you want a tidy, quiet base close to town; consider checking current bathroom and Wi‑Fi conditions on arrival.
