What campers say

Grand Gulf Military State Park is a quiet, scenic historic site with a compact museum, lookout tower, and several interpretive buildings. Staff are regularly described as friendly and knowledgeable, and the pavilion and church are popular for reunions and events. Campsites and RV pads are available—some reviewers note full hookups and large sites—but several mentioned that campsites, restrooms and drive surfaces need maintenance. Cellular reception is spotty to nonexistent in the park, and portions can be inaccessible after flooding or storm damage. Good for history-focused outings and relaxed gatherings if you’re prepared for limited services and variable site upkeep.
