What campers say
Goodell Creek Campground is a small, well‑maintained, heavily wooded site with about 19 mostly private campsites, several right on the Skagit River. Sites commonly include bear‑proof food lockers, picnic tables, fire rings with grills, potable water spigots and nearby vault toilets; there are no showers. It’s close to Diablo Lake, trailheads and a raft launch, and can be first‑come/first‑serve off‑season. Expect cold, glacier‑fed turquoise water and strong current (not ideal for swimming), occasional highway noise away from the river, and seasonal mosquitoes. Good for tent and car camping; some sites fit two cars and large tents.
