Park Description

Golden Pines RV Resort in Arnold California is a shady park in the pine trees about 2 miles east of Calaveras Big Trees State Park. Arnold is the nearest town of any size. The location has paved roads and dirt parking pads with fire rings and picnic tables. Overall the park has a state park camping feel. Full hookup RV sites can accommodate RVs up to 40′ in length (with one site suitable for up to a 45′ RV) with it recommended that you call in advance to ensure you can fit. The roads and sites are bordered by many trees.

Tent sites and cabins are also available. Wifi is available for a small additional fee.

From the park: Golden Pines RV Resort & Campground is a quiet, family-friendly campground located at 5000′ elevation in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Here among the towering trees of the Stanislaus National Forest our park has become a favorite destination for travelers throughout the United States and Europe. Some go out exploring, while others are content to stay and enjoy the peace of the forest in this secluded park. It’s up to you!

Our location makes us a great base camp for all of your favorite outdoor activities. Whether you plan on going hiking, fishing, hunting, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, skiing, spelunking, wine tasting or just want to relax, Golden Pines is perfectly located for you to explore all that the northern Sierra have to offer.

From the moment you arrive at Golden Pines we hope you’ll feel welcomed. We think going camping should be a relaxing and enjoyable experience, which is why we aim to offer friendly services along with an inviting ambiance. Come see why most people leave here already planning their next visit!
