Forks Campground near Bishop is a compact, mostly tent-focused site with no RV hookups. Sites vary in size — some can be tight for tents when cars are present — but many are close to the creek, which offers good fishing and pleasant evening wildlife (deer, dragonflies, swallows). Amenities include flush toilets, bear-proof food bins, fire rings, water faucets and nearby trash receptacles. Management is reported responsive, though restrooms may not be cleaned daily during busy periods. Insect levels appear to vary by season, and bears have been seen roaming at night, so store food securely.
