Eisenhower State Park is located on the border between Texas and Oklahoma with easy access from Highway 75 just 15 minutes away from Sherman, Tx. This park has a good marina but small beach access. The trails are well maintained. The sites are average, some leveling is required for our site but was manageable. Cellular service with Spring, TMobile, and AT&T wasn't inadequate for streaming, but phone and texting services work very well. Amenities are limited unless you bring your own toys. Hiking was nice and the views were beautiful. The rangers were constantly patroling and were amicable. The facilities and surrounding area were clean but need maintenance. The dumping area needs new hoses. but it was clean.

What campers say
Eisenhower State Park sits on Lake Texoma and is repeatedly praised for its scenic cliffs, rocky shoreline and wide lake views. The park offers extensive, well-marked hiking and biking trails, boat ramps and fishing access, plus fossil-hunting opportunities along the shore. Campsites include tent sites, RV hookups and screened lakeside shelters; restrooms are typically clean and staffed volunteers are noted as helpful. Families appreciate a playground and shaded picnic areas, though summers can be very hot and not every campsite has a lake view. Trails to the beach include steps and some steep grades — bring water and a wagon for gear.
