📖 About This Campground
DeMotte Campground near Fredonia Arizona (Jacobs Lake) is a National Forest Campground located within the North Kaibab Ranger District just seven miles north of the entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park North Rim. 38 primitive tent and RV camping sites in a forested setting. Situated on two Loops (A and B) the sites are mostly pull thrus with a few backins and tent/ small RV sites. Advanced reservations available. The campground was recently thinned via logging for dead or dying trees. Located on the edge of a scenic meadow, forest service roads take you further into the lush forest for adventure or take the short drive out to the rim of the Grand Canyon. Most any size RV can find a space that will work in this campground. A small grocery and gas station is located just across the main highway.
Pit toilets and water faucets available in the loops. Each site has a picnic table and firepit. Good spacing between sites.
