Small, quiet state historic campground set along the Tongue River. First-come, first-served, low-cost overnight option with picnic tables, a playground and a grassy field; many visitors praise the riverside setting and proximity to the Big Horns and nearby small-town services. Facilities are basic: pit toilets, a couple seasonal water spigots, gravel sites with two large pull-throughs and many shorter sites; no electric, sewer, or hookups. Generally well kept and family-friendly, but expect dry camping tradeoffs, occasional train noise, and some sites that require leveling or are short for long rigs.
