Ideally positioned right off Interstate 90 between Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone National Park, this highly accommodating campground features some of the longest pull-through RV sites in the country, reaching up to an incredible 147 feet. Guests can experience authentic Old West charm by booking handcrafted Conestoga covered wagons, casting a fishing line directly into the creek, or practicing their cowboy skills at the calf-roping station. Onsite amenities include a stocked camp store, pool, laundry facilities, and a range of sites and well-equipped deluxe cabins, plus easy access to Sheridan, the Bighorn Mountains and nearby parks. Guests note recent site improvements (concrete patios) and good walking/biking trails. Tradeoffs: a newer section near the interstate can be noisy, some bathrooms are dated with occasional drainage or maintenance issues, and Wi-Fi or tight neighboring sites have been reported. Overall a convenient base with mostly positive service and facilities.
