What campers say

Colleton State Park is a small, well-maintained site on the Edisto River with easy river access and a nearby boat ramp, popular for kayaking and boat outings. Campground features level, full-hookup RV sites, clean air-conditioned bathhouses with hot showers, short trails and a boardwalk through cypress swamp. Staff and camp hosts are consistently described as friendly and helpful. It's quiet and close to Walterboro for supplies. Practical tradeoffs: sites are relatively close together so space is tight, and river currents can be strong at times for downstream paddles.
