Remote, low‑service campground in the Tonto area that’s popular for disconnecting. Sites are first‑come, first‑serve; a Tonto pass is required at the ranger kiosk. Campsites are spaced apart with picnic tables, grills or rock fire rings, and some sit beside a small creek. Vault toilets are available but there’s no potable water or hookups. Road in is gravel and can be long/bumpy; some sites suit small RVs while others are rocky and better for tents. Expect dark skies, birding and occasional roaming livestock or dogs; daytime ATV/vehicle noise and occasional party trash have been reported.
