What campers say

Chris Flat Campground is a small, well-kept riverside site on US-395 with close access to the Walker River and good trout fishing. Sites are shaded in places, roughly a dozen in total, with basic amenities such as vault toilets, potable water, and attentive campground hosts; parking is long enough for large rigs. Typical fees are around $20 with a senior discount available. A notable tradeoff is proximity to the highway: headlights and traffic noise can be intrusive for some sites, while riverside spots tend to be quieter. Seasonal closures and fire-season restrictions have occurred.
