Chief White Crane Recreation Area is a well-maintained, large lakefront campground offering a mix of spacious, paved RV pads (many with 30/50 amp service), several cabins with heating/AC, and numerous shaded sites. Amenities include clean restrooms and warm showers with nearby water hydrants, playgrounds, a swim beach, a non-motor boat ramp, fish-cleaning station, and fire rings and picnic tables at sites. Paved walking and long lakeside bike trails connect to Yankton. Several sites sit on the water and are good for fishing or kayaking. Expect a peaceful, family-friendly setting; water is not available at every individual site.
