Cedar River North is a rustic, wooded campground with private sites tucked along the river. Amenities are basic—pit toilets and pump/well water—and there are a few trails, equestrian and group sites. It’s popular for fishing and quiet camping, with abundant wildlife (deer, raccoons, birds and occasional bear). Insect pressure can be significant at times—mosquitoes, horseflies and ticks—though conditions vary by season. Access requires following local signage off 551; GPS can misroute. There’s no onsite host, so noise from other groups is possible, and some visitors mention nearby logging. Camp fees around $20 have been reported.
