The campground is a well-kept, family-oriented site with a clean, attractive pool, tidy restrooms and manicured grounds. Staff and many seasonal campers are described as friendly and helpful, and a full schedule of weekend activities, kids’ programs, a snack bar with popular ice cream specials, plus fishing and kayaking on the lake offer plenty to do. Sites feel spacious and rustic cabin options are available. Practical tradeoffs include a large number of seasonal sites that can limit transient availability, occasional golf-cart traffic, and reports of relatively high nightly rates; some bathhouses are clean but show age.
