What campers say

Beautiful, compact show cave with striking formations and artful lighting. Tours are engaging and often informative, though guide style and depth can vary. The route is active — many stairs and some wet, slippery sections — so it’s less suited to very young children or people with mobility or heat sensitivity. The cave is notably warm and humid compared with typical caves. Grounds offer peacocks and a well-stocked gift shop with homemade fudge and souvenirs. Some tours (for example the Crystal Palace route) run about 90 minutes; advance tickets or a flexible schedule help as waits can occur.
