Cataloochee Campground is a Beautiful Campground situated in the Cataloochee Mountains, in The Northeast of the Great Smoky Mountains. This Campground is clean and spacious. And nearby a sight seeing area for Elk and other animals. The Road in/out starts out to be a 2 lane paved road and then turns to a dirt and clay road for about 4.5 miles. This Lane is about a Lane and a half wide. For two way traffic.

Cataloochee Campground in Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Waynesville North Carolina is surrounded by picturesque mountain ranges and pristine mountain streams, like nearby Cataloochee Creek. Elk are common in this part of the park, during the spring and fall. Offers a traditional outdoor camping experience with the added convenience of flush toilets and drinking water. There are no hookups or showers at the campground. Reservations required.
