As the description states, the RV sites have been upgraded. Each has water AND 30/50 amp electric. No more parallel parking on wide lane. Drives are now paved. Only problem is getting a site now. The choice sites are being booked months in advance.

What campers say
Cape Henlopen State Park Campground offers excellent access to beaches, extensive bike trails and scenic hiking, making it a strong choice for active families and cyclists. Sites are often relatively close together; many visitors appreciate the wooded setting but should expect limited privacy and tight parking in tent loops. Bathhouses and hot showers are generally reported as clean, though some note communal layouts, limited privacy and short water timers. Practical tradeoffs: no full hookups or on-site Wi-Fi, bring your own firewood, non-resident vehicle reentry fees apply, and reports of ticks and occasional noisy large groups exist.

📖 About This Campground
⭐ 2 Reviews⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0
Park has NO electric hookups. Generators are prohibited. Water available at each campsite. The RV campsites are parallel parking on the paved roadway, tent sites are off the road on the sandy soil. Walking distance to a WW2 coastal observation tower and Fort Miles. Bike paths to the beach. Some of the sites are level. Most of the tent sites are shaded. We like to go in the spring & fall when we don't need air conditioning.
