📖 About This Campground

Canyon View Campground in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park is a group campground located in the Cedar Grove area of the park. Paved roads with dirt camping areas the campground is available by reservation only for groups camping with tents. Running water and restrooms are available. Situated on the valley floor the campground provides campers with access to the many trails in the area and the multi-use trail that connects all the campgrounds in the Cedar Grove area. Due to bark beetle kills many of the trees have been removed in this campground with the side benefit being better sights of the surrounding mountain peaks. This campground has 12 sites for mid-size groups (7-15 people) and four sites for large groups (15-30 people). The sites are for tent and car camping only. RVs and trailers must camp in regular campsites in nearby campgrounds. Sites have multiple picnic tables, fire rings and bear boxes. The Cedar Grove Area is known as the Kings Canyon region of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park; also referred to as Roads End. The drive to this area from Grants Grove is a long winding and steep road. The bulk of the drive passes through the recent burn area as campers descend down in to the canyon. A pay phone, restaurant, showers, and laundry facilities are available in the Cedar Grove Village a short distance from the campground.
