What campers say
Spacious, well-kept regional park along the Caloosahatchee River with diverse, wide trails, river overlooks, big oaks and ample wildlife viewing. Campgrounds include primitive, private sites with fire rings and picnic areas; sites are peaceful but may require hauling gear from parking with hand carts rather than driving to each site. Facilities are generally clean and include restrooms and showers (visitors report mixed hot/cold types). Amenities include a small store, museum and opportunities for kayaking, stargazing and group events. Note cellphone reception can be spotty, which has affected app-based parking payments for some visitors.
