What campers say
Caddo Lake State Park offers an immersive, otherworldly cypress-and-Spanish-moss landscape ideal for paddling and wildlife viewing. Camp sites, cabins and screened shelters are generally clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with large shower houses and helpful staff noted by visitors. Boat tours and canoeing are a highlight (rental availability can vary by season), and there are fishing piers with good bass fishing nearby. Expect abundant wildlife — including alligators — and insects, so bring insect repellent. On-site conveniences are limited (ice isn’t always sold), but nearby marinas and tour operators fill gaps.
