Bountiful Peak Campground is a small, wooded site with good views of Francis Peak and a high‑elevation feel. Sites generally have metal picnic tables, large fire rings and pit/vault toilets, but expect no running water at times and occasional maintenance issues. The last half‑mile access road is rutted and rocky — take it slow; a higher‑clearance vehicle is easier. Sites are compact and additional vehicle fees may apply. The area can be busy and occasionally noisy from other groups or motorcycles. Good for a quick, scenic overnight if you accept limited services and a rough approach road.

📖 About This Campground

Bountiful Peak Campground above Farmington/ Layton Utah on Farmington Rd is a US Forest Service campground (Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest) offering 43 primitive tent and small RV camping sites at 7500'. Picnic tables and fire rings at each site. Vault toilets. No water and no reservations (first come first served). There is a 7 day stay limit. This area has well traveled graded dirt roads popular with cyclists and other trail users; use caution. The Forest Service recommends no trailers longer than 24' due to the narrow winding road. Note: we would not recommend taking a trailer or RV you like top to this location. The road is very rough and dusty.
