What campers say

Black Hawk Park offers spacious, rustic campsites along the Cedar River with trees and open fields, a mix of electric and full-hookup sites, picnic tables and fire rings. The setting is generally quiet and family-friendly, with paved bike-trail access to downtown Cedar Falls and nearby George Wyth trails, plus a shooting/bow range and several hiking routes. Staff and rangers are noted as responsive. Practical tradeoffs: some shower facilities are basic or affected by flooding, low spots on the Fire Trail can be wet, playground equipment is modest, and parking may be tight for very large groups. Pet-friendly atmosphere.
