What campers say

Birch Bay State Park is a well-maintained, family-friendly park on the bay. Campsites are spacious, many among large cedar and fir that provide shade (which can make sites feel darker), and some bluff sites overlook the water. Amenities include updated free showers, clean restrooms, a playground, parking near the beach, and some electrical sites. The park is popular for clamming at low tide (license required), paddleboarding, tide pools, and birdwatching. Trails are limited, and holiday stays often require reservations booked well in advance. Suited for visitors looking for beach access and bay views rather than extensive hiking.
