Ockey’s Big Mountain Campground is a well-kept, family-friendly spot with shaded, grassy sites, quaint cabins, and a small stream running through parts of the property. Facilities are consistently described as clean — spotless restrooms and showers, laundry, a small store, game room, playground and a heated pool. Sites offer full hookups and are easy to pull into; staff are routinely called friendly and accommodating. Practical tradeoffs include community fire rings rather than one at every site, occasional freeway noise due to nearby interstate access, and reports of limited cell service though Wi‑Fi is available. Overall it suits relaxed, family-oriented stays.

📖 About This Campground

Big Mountain Campground 5 miles east of Nephi Utah at the base of the Nebo Loop Scenic Byway. RV and tent camping in a mountainous setting the park is open seasonally mid-May thru the end of September. A well run location the park has 30 and 50 amp RV sites, tent sites, and cabins.
