Big Mineral Resort & Marina is a relaxed, family-friendly lakeside campground and marina that many visitors praise for boating, pontoon rentals, fishing, scenic sunrises/sunsets and a welcoming, helpful staff. Cabins are reported as well-equipped and the RV sites offer peaceful waterside views. Tradeoffs include occasional beach and shoreline debris, burrs in grassy areas for pets, and some maintenance issues—picnic areas and the dump station have been noted as needing repair. Restrooms may be locked at times, so tent campers should verify available facilities in advance. Overall it’s a pleasant spot for boating and fishing with a few facility caveats to consider.
