What campers say
Big Creek Campground, near Hoodsport, is a well-maintained, family- and dog-friendly Forest Service site with roomy, spread-out campsites, picnic tables, fire rings and potable water spigots. Hikes and loop trails from the campground are popular and generally well kept, with a scenic viewpoint on the main loop. There is a nightly fee (about $20; lower with an interagency/park pass), a host on site and dumpsters, but no electrical or RV hookups. Bathrooms are usually kept clean, though a few visitors mention occasional odors or flies. Expect a quiet, rustic experience with basic amenities.
