Big Bass Campground is a quiet, low-cost spot with roomy, separated sites, lots of hiking trails and abundant wildlife — including alligators and occasional bears. Campsites have picnic tables, fire rings, water spigots and a dump station; drinking water is available. Facilities are basic: pit toilets and no showers. A helpful camp host is commonly noted. Tradeoffs include some highway noise near front sites, limited sunny spots for solar and potentially tight backing for large rigs.
