What campers say
Beaver Dam State Park is very remote and quiet, reached by long dirt roads (some rough); a high-clearance vehicle is recommended though small cars have managed. It offers scenic mountain and creek settings with a waterfall trail, miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking, and good fishing. Camp sites are spacious and spread out with tables, fire rings, pit or vault toilets, and potable water available seasonally; there is no electrical service and cell reception is unreliable. Expect to pay an entry/camp fee (cash is commonly required) and watch for open-range livestock on the roads.
