What campers say

Bayview Campground sits directly across from Emerald Bay and provides immediate access to nearby trailheads, including routes toward Cascade Falls and Granite Lake. The campground is small and first-come, first-served—only a handful of sites—so it fills quickly and can be busy during daytime and weekends but generally quiet after evening. Amenities are minimal: no potable water, pit toilets, and most sites accommodate only one car. Several visitors praise an attentive camp host and the scenery, while others report disorganized site assignment and occasional rude staff interactions. Good choice if you prioritize location and hiking access over comforts.
