What campers say

Babcock County Park is a small, well-kept county campground offering convenient access to the Madison chain of lakes and nearby town amenities (restaurants, gas, pharmacy). It is popular with RVs, with gravel, mostly level pads with 30-amp service, limited dock space, a dump station, water and clean, modern bathrooms and showers. The park suits anglers (boat launch, parking and a fish-cleaning station) but canals can be weedy. Campsites are relatively close together and the park sits next to a busy highway, so expect daytime traffic noise; there are also mosquitoes at times. Hosts are described as friendly and the site has good shade.
