What would you say to $19 per night full hookups in a nice community park in a quiet area with zero other campers for a week? The same thing we did... awesome. The park is close to family and we enjoyed our stay. Great rural farm community park there are nice walking paths mowed in the grass, a pretty river next door, free mini-golf onsite, a golf course next door and a Dairy Queen within walking distance. As an added bonus the municipal swimming pool is within walking distance also. We stayed in the non-reservable site #8 which was a paved backin plenty long for our big rig. Verizon 4G was solid. Water was very rusty and clogged both our filters.

What campers say
Ambush Park Campground is a small, well-kept city campground along the river that suits families and people seeking a peaceful stay. Many sites offer 30-amp electrical service with water and sewer hookups, and visitors mention walking and bike trails, a playground, mini-golf, clean restrooms, and riverfront scenery. Practical tradeoffs include occasional train noise from tracks across the road and mosquitoes — some guests report routine spraying while others found heavy bugs. A few noted restrooms can be locked early in the season. Overall it’s a quiet, convenient spot for short stays or family gatherings.
