Rural setting, right on US Rt.2, small town of Wakefield/Bessemer. Very pet friendly, good WI-FI signal. Our visit was mid October & site water was turned off, water was available from owners residence, sewer dump station available. Owner very accommodating & friendly.

Alpine Campground & RV Park is a small, family-run park with large, grassy sites and a pleasant river/pond setting. Guests often praise the friendly elderly owner and affordable rates. The park shows its age: roads, picnic tables and some facilities need TLC, showers can be small, paid by quarters, and cleaning is inconsistent. Several visitors reported intermittent water and electrical issues (limited AC use advised) and spotty Wi-Fi; sewer hookups and the dump area have caused problems for some. Good choice for basic, budget stays if you want roomy sites and a relaxed host, but expect limited modern amenities.
