White Sandy Campground — Virtual Tour

White Sandy  Campground on Hauser Lake is northwest of Helena Montana. Offering 32 primitive campsites for RV and tent camping. Accessed via a graded and coated 2.5 mile dirt road the park is situated on a slight rise overlooking the lake with distant views of the mountains. A very scenic location a number of the campsites back right up to amazing views of the water. Well staffed with very satisfied camp hosts (who wouldn't be camped out here all summer!) there is a large boat ramp available. There are water spigots dispersed throughout the property. Site spacing is sufficiently large and one site is paved for handicap access. Bathhouses available. A dump station is located just outside the park along the road to Black Sandy State Park. Excellent fishing and recreational boating on the lake. The campground is located in a canyon area = there is little to no cell service. An open setting there is not much shade available. Due to the location on the east side of a bluff there is little warning of approaching late day thunder storms; make sure to keep your tent and awnings firmly secured for sudden wind gusts. RVs can easily pull in to the water facing sites and have an amazing view out the front window.
