Indian Island County Park is a scenic, family-friendly coastal park with beaches, miles of trails, and a variety of camping and day-use amenities including picnic areas, pavilions, grills, and maintained restrooms. Campground sites are plentiful and the RV loop has a large common grassy area for kids, though some RV spaces can be tight to back into. Practical tradeoffs include reports of significant tick activity and opportunistic wildlife, so secure food and trash, and there have been occasional issues with noisy or inconsiderate campers. There is also a small refreshment truck on site. Overall a peaceful spot for hiking, beach walks and camping if you plan ahead.
