    Park Description

    Diaz Lake Campground near Lone Pine California is a county owned and concessionaire operated campground for tents and RV camping. Primitive sites located on the west side of the lake (away from traffic noise) include pull thru and backin sites with options in the open or under shade trees. Diaz Lake is a pretty recreational lake located south of Lone Pine and the Whitney Portal area. Reasonable rates and advanced reservations are available.

    Diaz Lake Campground has a nice playground area, vault toilets and a boat ramp. Dark nights and pretty views some sites are located along the waters edge for shore fishing and relaxation. Sites have picnic tables and fire rings. Water is available from spigots dispersed around the grounds and some of the restrooms have running water also.

    Tourist - Provides facilities for tourists. Generally these campgrounds are located near points of interest or are designed to accommodate novice campers and RV travelers. If you are a tourist this location may be right for you.
    Kayaking - Access to kayaking opportunities. Kayaking can performed in rivers, lakes, ponds and the ocean. Know before you go but this campground or RV park has access to kayaking opportunities.

      Place is really high priced for what you get which is a place to park. There are a number of other lower cost options in the area. If you are going to pay just go to the commercial campground down the road.
