The Yellow Lantern Kamp Grounds sits on about 40 acres outside Cortland and is generally praised for its quiet, family- and dog-friendly setting with large, shady grassy sites, playground and pool. Guests note well-kept grounds, a clean laundry and a small office shop. Tradeoffs include uneven, sometimes muddy sites after rain and limited Wi-Fi in distant sites. Management enforces strict rules (visitor limits, equipment/age policies and reported appliance use with possible extra fees), and staff interactions are described as both accommodating and, in some cases, unfriendly. Big rigs may need extra clearance and lighting on roads could be improved. Overall a peaceful park if you’re okay with the rules.
