What campers say

Whitetail Ridge Campground offers wooded and waterfront sites on a scenic lake, with many sites providing easy water access and boat/kayak mooring. Campsites and pads are generally well maintained and reviewers commonly describe bathrooms and showers as clean (some note they could use updating). Staff are regularly described as friendly and helpful. Practical trade-offs reported include lower water levels at times, occasional ant problems related to hose connections, and infrequent campsite cleanliness issues (trash/cigarette debris). A few reviewers noted limited sewer hookups but a clean, accessible dump station. Overall, a quiet, well-kept park popular for boating and relaxation.

Whitetail Ridge is a Corps of Engineers campground on West Lake in LaGrange, GA. on acres and acres of woods. Sites are very wooded and secluded, water and electric only but there is a dump. The roads are paved, sites are gravel and BIG! We stayed in one of the three double sites, actually two sites side by side but considered one site, it was beautiful. There's a boat ramp, small playground, restrooms, showers. Some pull-throughs, some back-ins, all big and woodsy. 12 miles to the closest town and not much there, but a very relaxing campground. No cell service until we got to the town.
