Draper's Acres Campground is a family-run, conveniently located base for accessing Lake Placid and the Adirondack High Peaks. Sites accommodate tents, cabins and RVs, with many wooded, roomy spots, dog- and kid-friendly areas, and trails to walk. Bathhouse and showers are consistently described as clean and well-equipped. Staff are generally noted as welcoming and helpful. Practical tradeoffs include some sites near Route 73 where traffic can be heard, though evenings are quieter, and limited on-site retail amenities. Overall its an affordable, straightforward campground favored for access to nearby hikes and village attractions.
