Welcome Woods Campground is a family-oriented, lakeside site praised for friendly staff, clean bathrooms and showers, a kids’ playground, beach and dock, and on-site hiking and boat/kayak rentals. Many sites offer water and 30/50A electric and shady, roomy rustic spots; overflow tent areas are inexpensive. It’s quiet and relaxing for readers and families, and about 20 miles from Grand Rapids for errands. Tradeoffs: site quality varies—some sites are narrow or uneven and a few guests reported maintenance issues like broken picnic tables or small fire rings. A minority of visitors mentioned noise from other campers and isolated management or behavior problems.
