Park Description

Watauga Dam Campground is a scenic riverside RV campground located in Elizabethton, Tennessee, nestled along the Watauga River and near Watauga Lake. Managed by Vista Recreation under a concessionaire agreement with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), it offers a peaceful setting for outdoor enthusiasts.

Campground Overview

  • Campsites: 29 RV sites, all with water and 30-amp electric hookups; 3 sites also have sewer connections

  • Site Types: Gravel pads, accommodating RVs and trailers up to 40 feet

  • Amenities:

    • Flush toilets and hot showers

    • Picnic tables and fire rings at each site

    • Boat ramp and canoe access

    • Camp store offering firewood, ice, and snacks

    • Dump station and overflow parking

    • Pet-friendly (restrictions may apply)

    • Cell service is generally fair in the area
