The owners of the campground went above and beyond being helpful. We need some brake work done and they not only called to make sure we could get right in but then led us in the truck to the repair shop. The campground is not easy to see from the road although it is right off the main road. The sites are dirt, all 50 amp, some shaded and have excellent wifi and BBQ grills and picnic tables at each site. There is a really small playground and the showers and restrooms need updating. The campground is adjacent to the Cowboy Trail, near a town and right behind a grocery store.

What campers say
Wacky West RV Park in Valentine is a budget-oriented, no-frills stop that often offers full hookups, Passport America discounts, low nightly rates, envelope after-hours payment and coin laundry. The owners and staff are frequently described as helpful, and the park is very close to downtown services (pizza, deli, grocery). Tradeoffs include spotty maintenance: bathrooms and showers have been reported with drainage and cleanliness issues, limited paper supplies, a single key for facilities, taller grass and some dog/grounds concerns. It's convenient for a quick overnight pull-in but may not suit campers seeking a quiet, well-groomed campground.
