Myakka River RV Resort is a small, calm riverfront park popular with families, dog owners, and anglers. New management has been credited with friendlier service, cleaner facilities, and a recently renovated heated pool. Many sites are level and graveled with a few riverfront pads offering concrete patios and easy fishing or kayak access; a small dog-friendly island is nearby. Grounds and amenities are well kept, and the location is convenient to nearby beaches and towns (about 15 minutes to Manasota Beach). Note that some long-term residents' sites show wear, but overall the park appears to be improving.
