What campers say

Tugaloo State Park is a well-maintained lakeside park with many waterfront or water-view campsites, hiking trails, a beach and family amenities like mini golf and a playground. Restrooms and hot showers are generally clean, and rangers and staff are described as helpful, though some visitors note an unfriendly desk interaction. It's a great spot if you bring a boat or kayak; otherwise weekends can be busy and noisy (dogs and rowdy groups reported). Campsites and cottages are in good condition and some lodging is recently updated. Expect typical outdoor nuisances (flies, tree sap). Yurts are walk-in down hills with wheelbarrows provided; some need mattress updates.
