What campers say

Trial Lake Campground is a scenic, high‑elevation (around 9,500 ft) destination with excellent lake access for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. It sits near several trails and other alpine lakes, making it a good base for day hikes. The site is popular and often busy—weekends fill up—so reservations are recommended. Amenities are basic: some tent pads and double sites exist, but parking pads and road turnarounds can be short or tight for larger RVs, and potable water is not always available. Weather can change quickly and nights are cool. Restroom locations and staffing experiences vary, so plan accordingly.
