📖 About This Campground

Tri-County Fairgrounds Bishop RV Park in Bishop California offers 42 full hookup RV camping sites a few blocks off Highway 395. Cash or check payments. All sites are back-ins located in a gravel lot adjacent to the fairgrounds. Easy access for most any size rig this location has become popular due to its reasonable price and full hookups. All sites have full utility hookups and are situated in the back of the fairground property tucked away from the main roads. A quiet setting and no through traffic the sites are located on packed gravel dirt. Restrooms and showers on site the park is within walking distance of downtown Bishop, the local grocery store, and the Bishop City Park. The fairgrounds has taken the moniker of "Bishop RV Park" but this location is really just a standard fairgrounds RV parking area with no shade and no additional amenities. Access is off Sierra St, west of US 395. On weekends it can be difficult to reach the fairgrounds office via phone (they are usually closed) so check the fair event calendar to see if anything is going on; if not there will be sites available.

I have stayed at Fairground sites numerous times. The staff has always been very cordial and pleasant. The sites have always been clean and the restrooms/showers have always been very clean. Also, the RV site is located in a very convenient location for fishing and sightseeing. Will continue to try and use this location. Nearest place to Heaven.

$35 per night solid 4G and a short walk to town. Bishop is a nice town and we stayed here the night of their Christmas parade and tree lighting... lots of fun. The RV park was very empty and we took the large backins between the restrooms and fair buildings allowing us to stay fully hooked up over night. Site was perfectly level. Paid via envelope deposit in the drop box at the office as the office is closed on weekends. Packed gravel and very basic the utilities worked and all was good.

Price is a bit higher now at $30 per night but for what you get it is worth it. We timed it perfect to have the park nearly to ourselves. Very quiet day and night this a great place to stay. We walked over to the city park and noticed that Bishop is struggling through some issues with local teens. A lot of punks and wanna be gang bangers hanging around. Even saw some harass another young man; they stopped when they saw us coming their way. Short walk to main street and the grocery this is a nice stop when going to or coming from the higher Sierras or Reno. Verizon 4G and phone was solid.

Arrived on a Wednesday to an almost empty campground. Awoke the next morning to find the place filling up quickly. There was a dirt bike convention in town and they were all staying here. Kind of cool to see them all but definitely a different feel once the place filled up. Water pressure was weak everything else worked fine. We will return. Paid $25.

What a find. We are traveling 395 and have never stayed in Bishop. Gravel lot with new hookups. $25 per night cash or check paid to office. We were literally the only ones here the first day and one other camper arrived the next. Amazing views of the mountains and a short walk to town and groceries. Verizon data and phone is excellent. Not a resort but appropriately priced for what you get. Sites would be tight if the place was crowded.
