Trail Creek Campground is located next to a creek with fishing opportunities available. It has 10 single units with restrooms, drinking water and picnic tables.
No Host; No Services; Dispersed Camping Allowed during off season
Facilities
The campground contains single-family sites, many of which back onto the creek. All sites are equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, grills and food storage lockers. Accessible vault toilets, drinking water and trash collection are provided. Roads and parking spurs are gravel. The highway is visible from most sites, so campers can expect to hear passing vehicles.
Natural Features
The campground is situated on the banks of Trail Creek in an open grassy meadow lined with Douglas fir, spruce and aspen trees. A variety of wildlife makes its home in the area, including moose and deer. Summer wildflowers are abundant.
Recreation
Trail Creek offers fishing for Yellowstone cutthroat and brook trout. Hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding are popular activities on the nearby Mikesell Canyon Trail, which begins 2 miles away at Mike Harris Campground.
