Sites are a mix of paved and gravel. Most are very level and the area is flat. Miles of trails are available, many winding along the river. Waterfowl restoration programs underway. A working fire tower is a short hike. Certain times of the year insects, especially ticks, are overwhelming. Fishing and kayaking in the river are favorite pastimes at this park.
