What campers say

Tippecanoe River State Park offers well-maintained campsites tucked in oak woods, with spacious, level gravel sites and 30/50‑amp electric hookups. The hiking network and a popular 90‑ft fire tower deliver rewarding views, and staff are consistently described as friendly and knowledgeable. Bathhouses are reported clean with good hot water. Tradeoffs include no water or sewer at individual sites, limited cell service under the trees, and periodic mosquitoes on trails. A few visitors note smaller, less private river tent sites, occasional noisy or inconsiderate campers, and a busy dump‑station setup during peak times.

State park managed. Firewood restrictions in place to combat pests. Firewood available for sale on site from camp hosts. Grounds are well maintained, restrooms and showers modern and clean. Sites are a mix of paved and gravel. Most are very level and the area is flat. Miles of trails are available, many winding along the river. Waterfowl restoration programs underway. A working fire tower is a short hike. Certain times of the year insects, especially ticks, are overwhelming. Fishing and kayaking in the river are favorite pastimes at this park.
