As far as Thousand Trails - not bad most people there live full time, but they have one area on top of hill for travelers- laundry work - quiet area

What campers say
Thousand Trails Forest Lake draws mixed reactions. Many guests praise friendly staff, well-kept pools, scenic lake views, walking trails, roomy RV sites and accommodations for larger rigs — qualities appreciated by longer-term campers. At the same time several reviewers reported maintenance and management issues: intermittent water outages and limited communication, cracked or uneven paving and gravel roads, cats and loose dogs, and a rundown putt-putt course. Cabins are described as rustic and inconsistently maintained, and occasional loud events at the lodge can carry through the park. Overall, expect good recreational amenities but be prepared for variable upkeep and occasional noise.
