The Whittington Center

The Whittington Center near Raton New Mexico offers full hookup RV and tent camping on the grounds of the NRA shooting center. From the park: The nation’s premier shooting facility, the NRA Whittington Center offers ranges for every kind of shooting discipline, a shotgun center, a firearms museum, firearms training, guided and unguided hunts, RV and tent camping, cabins, plus an Adventure Camp for young shooters. Come stay with us! The general public is welcome to stay at the Whittington Center. There is a broad range of housing to accommodate individuals, couples, and small to large groups. Lodging options include modern housing, rustic cabins, back country cabins, campgrounds with RV hookups and primitive camping. Other facilities include a cafeteria, gift shop, bathhouse, training center and a variety of world-class shooting ranges. The Whittington Center hosts 120 RV campsites in two adjacent areas. All campsites are equipped with water, electricity, and sewage hookups. A bathhouse, complete with laundry facilities, compliments the campground. All campsites are designed as pull through and will accommodate the longest travel trailers. No campfires are allowed; however, charcoal or gas grills are acceptable. The primitive campground provides picnic tables, water, chemical toilet, and trash removal for those who desire more rustic surroundings.  There are 26 tent spaces and camping is limited to tents and small pop up tent trailers only. Small campfires are permitted in approved fire pits.
